Welcome to the Quids Inn
Island Life Productions presents 'Welcome to the Quids Inn', the story of five young people simultaneously hired by the Edinburgh Newington branch of the Quids Inn, Britain's finest chain of budget hotels. The series explores the group's interactions, stories, misadventures and fun whilst working hard maintaining the reception desk, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
RJ Bayley - Actor (Michael)
RJ's voice has been described as a 'well-weighted baritone, balanced & deep at the same time.' Naturally he's got a mild Yorkshire lilt that's trustworthy and relatable. Over his four years as a voice actor and audiobook narrator he’s developed a knack for replicating a wide variety of accents, riveting prose and unique characters. So far he's narrated over 30 audiobooks and appeared in a number of audio dramas. His passion is for bringing unusual characters to life and giving them an ear-catching spin.
He maintains he's not trying to ruin his own career by deafening himself with heavy metal on his dog walks.

Liz Dokukina - Actor (Eshaal)
Liz is a Business and Marketing student at the University of Edinburgh. Originally from Russia, she has adopted a southern accent due to the six years spent studying in Bristol. During her time there, Liz focused on getting involved in all school productions, as well as completing a number of LAMDA qualifications.
Upon joining the University of Edinburgh, Liz has worked on dramatic projects and productions across several societies. Although she has never been involved in voice acting before, she is incredibly excited to be part of this project.

Jasmin Geissen - Producer
Jasmin is currently studying Arts, Festival & Cultural Management at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. After graduating with a first class Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Media Culture Studies, she has been travelling and working in the arts industry in Australia (Goethe Institut Australia, Sydney Festival, Sydney Theatre Company) and Germany (Oper Köln) before moving to her favourite city in Scotland. She lives in Leith/Edinburgh as a part time student/part time creative producer, mainly working in theatre (EUTC) and marketing, but enjoying art in any shape or form.

Megan Lambie - Actor (Lauren)
Megan is a recent Law graduate from the University of Edinburgh and definitely spent more time in performing than reading Scottish Law Commission papers during her university career. Whilst this is her first foray into the world of podcasting and voice acting, she has previously worked with several Edinburgh-based theatre companies over the years, and several more in her home town of Ayr mostly in stage-based performance. She can’t wait to share this incredible project with you all and is very excited to take you along for the journey!

Eilidh MacKinnon - Writer
Eilidh MacKinnon is an Edinburgh local who has been writing since she was young. Eilidh used to write short stories to read to her little sister, and that hobby developed in to playwriting and even screenwriting. She studied Film and English Literature at The University of St Andrews and focused her English honours modules on theatre including, playwriting, making performance, 20th century British and Irish drama, and Tragedy in the Age of Shakespeare. This, combined with a short course at Screen Academy Scotland studying screenwriting, has cultivated a passion and understanding in writing for performance. Welcome to the Quids Inn was Eilidh’s first foray into the aural medium of radio/podcast episodes, but she has really enjoyed pushing herself to explore new ways of storytelling.

Thomas Mugglestone - Actor (Murray)
Thomas Mugglestone (no really that's his name) is an English actor partially raised in California and now living in Scotland and so understandably spends most of his time just looking lost, dazed and dare we say confused. Professionally trained at The MGA Academy of Performing Arts, Thomas is kicking to get his foot in the doors of the industry with his first TV role in Outlander (2020) and first VO role in This Mortal Coil (2020). With a strong nerd streak Thomas devotes a great deal of his free time to everyone's favourite basement boardgame: Dungeons and Dragons, paving the way for him learning to do an excessive repertoire of character voices and accents that he is keen to rattle through at a moments notice.

Alice Pelan - Actor (Anna)
Alice graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2017, where she studied BA Acting and English Literature.
From Edinburgh and East Lothian, Alice has worked with various Theatre companies such as The Brunton Theatre, PASS, The Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group, RSC and currently the Traverse Theatre.
Alice has been involved in physical theatre, voice work, pantomime, stage and film work. Alice has been described to have a singsong voice with a lilt but that may be because of the Scottish accent!

Fin Ross Russell - Director
Fin Ross Russell is the co-founder of Island Life Productions, having founded the company with his sister in 2011. Since then, he completed his BA in Drama, Applied Theatre & Education from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Following a year working at Chichester Festival Theatre as the theatre's Education Assistant, Fin moved up to Edinburgh where alongside running the company, he is a freelance workshop facilitator for Edinburgh City Council, Lyceum Youth Theatre & Strange Town. He is the former co-director of the UK Centre of the International Theatre Institute and former communications director of the organisation's Network for Emerging Arts Professionals

Mykolas Urbonas - Actor (Tomas)
Originally from Lithuania, Mykolas came to Scotland to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Though his professional/artistic ventures are not nearly as diverse as those of his character, he is very excited about his first voice acting role and hopes you’ll have just as much fun listening to the podcast as he had while recording it.
